Our Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a Research Focus program is designed for students interested in pursuing careers in academia or research-based industries. In addition to traditional course-based education in your chosen focus area, our MS research program teaches analysis skills, literature review, research question formulation, validation planning, and effective communication.
Students will work with a faculty advisor throughout the two-year program, conducting research. Explore CEE faculty research interests to aid your advisor selection process.
Graduates who earned their MS in CEE go on to work in a variety of sectors in companies like Amazon, Tesla, AECOM, Michael Baker International, Geosyntec, BOSCH, and Wabtec.
